Office Administrator


North Rim is ‘the’ consulting leader in geoscience and mine engineering in Saskatchewan focusing on proven leading-edge, innovative solutions. Working out of the Saskatoon office, North Rim ( is currently seeking an experienced Office Administrator to provide support in day-to-day operations, bookkeeping, and general office duties. Position reports to the President and CEO. Part-time position (60% FTE).


Job Purpose Summary


  • The Office Administrator will be a valued member of the administration team, responsible for a wide array of tasks aimed at contributing to the efficient operations of the North Rim office, supporting the work of management, other staff, and the Board of Directors.
  • The individual will work under the direction of the CEO and will be assigned tasks within the scope of the Accounting department and Management team.
  • The individual will exhibit the ability to work in team settings or independently, exhibit leadership, interpersonal skills, as well as strong verbal and written skills.
  • The Office Administrator will be organized, flexible and adaptive in order to positively meet new challenges in a constantly changing environment.


Key Responsibilities


  • Provide clerical support to project team leaders when completing a wide variety of correspondence and documents utilizing advanced word processing functions in a Windows-based computer environment.
  • Assist with accounting tasks such as invoice preparation, accounts payable and accounts receivables, and filing.
  • Assist in the design and implementation of document management procedures for corporate and project-specific documents.
  • Maintain corporate brand and image on all internal and outgoing corporate documents. Maintain corporate  office image in office and core lab premises including office organization and cleanliness.
  • Provide clerical/administration support to the CEO, Business Development Manager, and other Managers as required.




  • Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Office skills (Word, Outlook, Excel, Access).
  • Novice to intermediate Quickbooks skills.
  • Knowledge of report formatting and template generation is essential.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in an administrative support position.
  • Post-secondary education in business, computers, or office administration and bookkeeping/accounting experience are an asset.
  • Excellent organization/time management skills; the capacity to prioritize by assessing situations to determine urgency; the ability to work with minimum supervision.
